BALAM – General Manager

Join our team at Infinity Group as we seek a dynamic leader to spearhead the opening of our latest culinary venture, Balam, set to debut in Spring 2024. As our General Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in orchestrating every aspect of the restaurant’s launch in May 2024 and ensuring its seamless operation thereafter.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership-Lead the development and execution of the restaurant’s strategic vision, ensuring alignment with Infinity Group’s overarching goals and values.
  • Operational Oversight -Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including but not limited to staffing, inventory management, and customer service to ensure the highest standards of excellence are maintained.
  • Team Management- Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of culinary and front-of-house staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous growth.
  • Financial Management-Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability through effective resource allocation and revenue generation strategies.
  • Customer Experience – Champion a guest-centric approach, ensuring that every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience that exceeds their expectations, thereby fostering customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.
  • Quality Assurance-Uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Community Engagement- Act as a brand ambassador for Balam and Infinity Group, actively engaging with the local community, participating in events, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement- Continuously evaluate performance metrics, solicit feedback, and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 Years of General Manager Experience in an Upscale F&B Environment
  • Proficiency in Food and Beverage Knowledge
  • Strong Organization and Planning Abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Publisher)
  • Previous POS Experience; Touch Bistro and Marketman Highly Desirable
  • Demonstrated Time Management Skills
  • Hands-On Leadership with Excellent Communication Abilities
  • Ability to Remain Calm under Pressure
  • Understanding of Food Service Techniques and Cost Controls
  • Passion for People and Food

General Requirements:

  • Serving it Right Certificate
  • FoodSafe Level 1 Certification
  • Legal Authorization to Work in Canada
  • Seasonal Accommodation Provided
  • Ability to Stand and Maintain Mobility for 8-10 Hours
